A few years ago, during a conversation with Oracle OEM experts at Oracle OpenWorld, I asked a simple question:

“Why can’t Oracle Enterprise Manager automatically alert DBAs whenever a critical SQL execution plan changes and immediately show the performance impact?”

As every experienced DBA knows, a SQL execution plan change can turn a well-performing application into a production incident within minutes. Finding the exact SQL, comparing plans, analyzing AWR snapshots, and determining whether the new plan is better or worse often consumes valuable time during a critical outage. At that time, the capability I envisioned did not exist in the way I wanted it.

Today, thanks to advances in AI and automation, I have built that capability in-house using dbadeedsai, our AI-powered DBA Operations platform.
